"Hip Operation Grantham Hospital"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I had keyhole superpath hip surgery...this is my 2nd hip operation in 2 years. I was feeling OK as I knew what to expect. I was hoping all would go OK. The staff of Matron Julie, Ward Manager Charley, RN Naomi and Judy, Health Care Iwons plus Sarah/Jane kept coming to check I was OK, showed me to my room. They were very attentive which I haven't experienced for a while, they showed they care. I have not had that type of caring experience for ages.

Thank you for you amazing comments and you did so well with the super pathway – you were an absolute star and it really boosts morale for the nurses and physios to see patients do so well and that we have helped to improve your quality of life as now you can mobilise without any pain – I will share with all of the staff and the physio team and I am so pleased you are doing well and you had a real quality experience – and thank you again for sharing this story
