(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have been on the ward for a week.  Before I arrived my husband phoned up and was told there was a backlog with the ambulances so they would take a while. He brought me over and as soon as I got to the hospital  a paramedic who was free brought me in and got me a seat and I was seen quickly after that.

Everything on the ward has been fine. The staff are all great and I'm happy with the care, there has just been a very long wait for my MRI scan.

I'm in a double side room and I have enough space when it is just me and one other, but when there is another 3rd person placed in here it gets very tight and crowded. The shower on the ward is just a disaster, it really needs to be redesigned. Anytime I have used it the water has not drained properly and at times the water has overflowed out of the shower onto the corridor.

The cleanliness is okay but I think it could be better.

I think staff could use hand sanitizer's more often.

Hi

I have reported shower few weeks ago, and this repair is with estates.

Hand gel points are throughout ward and staff and visitors are encouraged to use it at all times. I will escalate at weekly measures board to use more frequesntly as per IPC guidelines.
