I went in with a recurring ankle injury having had a history of leg problems in a lot of pain. I appreciate this is a low priority and had no problem waiting as long as it took but having put up with it for several weeks I needed to get it checked out.
I was told in no uncertain terms I'm "not injured" offered painkillers and banished. The person taking notes worded my injury as dismissively as possible to give the consultant an easy way to dismiss me. It's treatment like this that make people not want to come to hospitals and why people only get seen once it is really severe.
"Dismissed and treated as an inconvenience "
