"Not having a procedure"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital / Upper gastrointestinal sugery

(as a relative),

This is actually about my mother. She was called in for an upper endoscopy, first pre-med was not done early enough, then dad had to chase up details about meds (she is on warfarin),  then mum turned up for one o'clock appointment having had nothing to eat since 7.30 as directed. Eventually having had canula fitted, still no procedure, then at 4.30 the doctor said she didn't need the procedure. So as a diabetic she has not eaten for 9 hours. I think this is disgraceful for anyone, especially a diabetic pensioner.
