(as a carer),

My partner was in ward 63 at Glasgow Royal infirmary. I was absolutely devastated when realising he was at end of life. The care and treatment he received from all staff, enabled me to cope with the heart-breaking situation. From domestic staff, to auxiliary staff, nurses, consultants and palliative care, I am extremely thankful and grateful for the care and support provided.  Each member of staff showed deep empathy and could not do anymore for us. This was one of the most hardest situations I have experienced in my life and I want to say a huge thank you for the kindness and compassion showed to Tony and I. Consultant Paul from palliative care enabled Tony to open up and share things that he wouldn’t normally share. This has been a heart-breaking experience for my family and I. The dedication, commitment, compassion and high standard of care both physically and mentally got us through this. Thank you to all at ward 63 ❤️

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your partner. We really appreciate your comments regarding the staff in Ward 63 and the Palliative Care Team. I am sure that they will be humbled to hear that their dedication, commitment, compassion and high standard of care, helped you during this difficult time. I’d like to thank you on their behalf.
