About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Early Pregnancy Assessment Service The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Ultrasound Scan (Maternity)

(as the patient),

I had my 20 week scan yesterday at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital and was scanned by the amazing Dr. Owen.

I have struggled with anxiety throughout this pregnancy due to previous losses and I couldn’t have been scanned by a better doctor. He took his time, was thorough and put me at ease with his great personality. He talked me through everything he was looking at and luckily everything was perfect.

Thank you Dr. Owen for being so great at your job. I have been so looked after in this pregnancy especially by two lovely ladies Lynne & Stephanie with maternity psychology who have been helping me through my anxiety by speaking with me every week and helping me through this difficult time. Thank you to you all , I haven’t always had this kind of care so it’s worth raving about as my experience has been nothing short of amazing, thank you again.

Thank you for sharing your story. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been given your previous losses. This is where our Perinatal Mental Health Team excel and I will pass on your comments to Lynne and Stephanie. I will also share your positive comments with Dr Owen.
