"Conflicting advice from what was said in A&E"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic Outpatient Service Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Received a telephone call from NHS Fife virtual fracture clinic following a trip to A&E with my son.

The staff member who called gave conflicting advice from what was said in A&E and that it was not broken. I felt they were condescending when I asked questions in relation to such things as can he weight-bare, how long should he keep the splint on etc, they also seemed to not be a clinician or have experience as could not answer any these related questions.

They gave me a follow up appointment that my son could not attend and I was unable to change it, I had to call an appointment telephone number. Will not know any information for 2 weeks after the visit to A&E as there were no earlier appointments.
