The recovery college classes were informative and teacher were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It is a good as an early intervention, but I feel it would be better suited to those in *primary* mental health services.
As someone under secondary mental health care, this is not enough and I am still waiting for personalised therapy options. There needs to be more options for those those in secondary care, and personalized plans and therapy – all of which I have not received. I also think the NHS should not based your access to treatment on risk level. Until I am high risk I cannot access anything and I am just waiting until I am more at risk.
Recovery college would be better for those who are low risk and are experiencing mental health conditions for the first time, not those who have been through the system time and time again over the years…
"Better for those who are low risk"
