I was taken at the allocated time and met by a nurse who took all my details. I was then taken to the next person, who introduced herself to me and told me what was going to happen. As each staff member came and performed their particular task, introducing themselves to me and checking my details were correct, I was then taken through to the room where the scope was taking place and informed of who was there and what was going to happen.
At every stage of this procedure I was informed what was happening. I wakened up in another ward and given a cold drink followed by a cup of tea and a sandwich. I then got dressed and went through to a small room where the most lovely of nurses went through the results of the scope and the next steps with regard to results that I would get further down the line and the time these results would take to come through.
