I began treatment for AN with the LEDS in summer 2021 and saw my team there for around 15 months. The care I received was amazing and I am so grateful to my team for helping me through my illness.
Sessions with my psychotherapist enabled me to challenge my ED thoughts and behaviours and really held me to account during recovery. My therapist herself was always so patient and compassionate when I spoke about my struggles and made me feel listened to. Additionally, the nurses I worked with were always kind and professional, making difficult moments very dignified. Ultimately, I would not have gotten through my illness without the team and feel so fortunate that I was referred.
During my illness, I experienced treatment with other services and can appreciate how comparatively dedicated and professional the Lothian service was.
Thanks to everyone at the LEDS at the Cullen for your support. I owe you so much.
"A dedicated and professional team"
