"Expression of beliefs"

About: Royal Cornhill Hospital / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I was brought into Royal Cornhill Hospital due to an episode of drug induced psychosis. This happened over 2 occasions within a week's interval. The second time I was interviewed by a doctor and was asked what do I believe in. I said I believe in nature. I explained that I'm not a religious person, but a more spiritual one and continued by explaining my roots and how I feel nature can help us heal.

The doctor left the room and then returned to tell me I was psychotic. I felt extremely hurt and after this discussion I was detained within the hospital for several days.

I feel I was religiously discriminated for expressing my views in this matter.
