About: St Michael's Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics (including fracture/hand clinic)

(as a service user),

Having severed 2 tendons in my left thumb, I looked forward to my recovery with Trepidation. 

From the outset, the team at the St Michael's Hand Clinic were welcoming, friendly, professional and reassuring.

From receptionist to nurses and therapists, they all made me feel at ease and confident that I was in the right hands.

What surprised me most were that the three therapists that dealt with me (Vicky once, Jaoa once and Eszter five times), were as expected very professional, but all appeared to enjoy their job and, more importantly, made me feel that they really cared about me and my recovery. It was like talking to friends.

A fantastic team from start to finish and a credit to St Michae'ls.

I am so pleased to see that the team at the Hand Clinic were welcoming, friendly and reassuring whilst being professional. I am also pleased to see that the members of staff made you feel cared for and that they care about your recovery.

I am writing to you as a member of the Patient Experience team but I will ensure your feedback is shared with the relevant team, with a special mention to Vicky, Jaoa and Eszter through our Learning From Excellence scheme.
