My wife received a letter from Glasgow Royal Infirmary (plastic surgery unit) confirming that she had been added to the Oral Surgery Waiting List in February.
As we haven't heard anything, I phoned for an estimate of when she might be seen.
I spoke to Michelle, the waiting list manager, who was so helpful and friendly and took time to explain the reasons for the delay (due to a backlog from Covid - which is quite understandable) and that she was working flat out to get people seen as soon as she possibly could.
It was an absolute pleasure to speak to such a nice person who clearly has patients at the forefront of her mind.
The NHS are fortunate to have such a helpful and dedicated member of staff
( lucky for the NHS I am now retired, if I still had my business, I would have offered Michelle a job).
"It was an absolute pleasure to speak to such a nice person"
