I had day case breast surgery. I was admitted in Percival Pott ward- (East wing, 3rd floor).
The nursing staff (Gemma and her team nursing/HCA colleagues) was compassionate, kind and patient. I felt warm and cared for. They kept noise levels and distractions to patients to the bare minimum. I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to Gemma for all her/team's support.
The breast surgeon, led by Mr Rao, was also extremely considerate, listened and patient despite my outburst of disappointment with initial cancellation. He went an extra mile to sort the surgery next day and I was overwhelmed/ well supported by his compassionate nature.
Thank you, Mr Rao for, looking after my needs and circumstances with work.
Thank you, Mr Mustafa, for assisting/supporting the surgery and your trainee colleague.
And finally, Anaesthetic team Mr Hulianne was very pleasant, smiling and looked calm. Immediately I know I was under good hands. He was supported by an even more chilled, cool but professional ODN. He kept the otherwise expected stressful environment light and witty . Thank you both! Good pair and wish them well for bright future.
I found the theater staff overall friendly and happy. Lauren, recovery nurse, facilitated the recovery process easier by making good rapport with me and kept me well engaged with appropriate conversations.
Above all, huge thank you for the behind the scenes managers- to keep all these staff happy by looking after their needs and well being.
Pls continue this care for other people like me who come under your service and make it as a positive experience for them.
Big Huge thank you all!
