About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as the patient),

I want to let you know that over the last few year’s especially between March and November last year I was cared for by the Orthopaedic Out Patient Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. 

Their professionalism, skills and support have been invaluable to me over several years in what we’re very tricky periods  especially last year when I needed 4 operations between March and November. I felt secure in their care and there was always humour as well much needed when the news wasn’t always good 

I’ve had numerous Orthopaedic issues over the last few years usually ending up with operations.  Debbie who works in Orthopaedics at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and is the secretary to the consultant surgeon has been truly wonderful over that time . Confirming dates, passing on message to the Consultant arrangements no appointments for when I needed to see someone in the Orthopaedic team urgently and always very friendly which mattered as things weren’t always going well.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was happy to hear the care and treatment you have received from the staff in the Orthopaedic Out Patient Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary has been to a high standard and you have felt well cared for.

I can only begin to imagine how worried and anxious you must have felt over these last few years especially after requiring 4 operations all in a short space of time, so to hear the staff have been so supportive was very heart warming.

I will be sure to pass on your thanks to the staff especially Debbie who I'm sure will be touched to hear you had such a pleasant experience while under their care.

I hope your feeling a lot better and recovering well back at home.
