"Extraction of teeth"

About: Dundee Dental Hospital / Oral Surgery

(as a service user),

I was referred to the Oral Surgery department at Dundee Dental Hospital by my dentist to have my lower impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed. I had a telephone consultation with Dr Reilly who explained how the procedure would go and what to expect. I attended for my appointment today and from the minute I checked in for my appointment until the minute I left I was so well looked after.

Dr Sammut was the dentist she was lovely and  so kind and two nurses called Ashley and Fair really looked after me and really helped to calm my nerves. I was sooooo nervous about my procedure but was allowed to wear my headphones and listen to my music throughout.

I had a little mini melt down half way through and they were all so kind to me letting me have a break and reassuring me that I was doing great and before I knew where I was I was all done given my instructions and advised that I would be given another appointment to have the other side done.

Please send my thanks to this team for looking after me so well they certainly made a really stressful situation for me so much easier and are doing a fab job. I certainly will not be so scared and nervous to come back for the other side.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're delighted that you've had such a positive and supportive experience. We've passed on your kind feedback to Dr Sammut and will pass on to Dr Reilly, Ashley and Fair as well as the wider team.
