"Ridiculous waiting time"

About: West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust

(as a service user),

I used 111 online at this morning as my son has a wound that was oozing with puss.

I was advised I would receive a call from a nurse within 2 hours. 5 hours later I received a call from a call handler.

By this time I had sought advice, I advised them of this. They said they had been busy, I understand that but as I said they should have some sort of information that tells people this and also it should have been a nurse call not a call handler call.

I am appalled by he lack of patient care.

Hi Jen, we're sorry to hear you have had a bad experience using the 111 service.

We no longer provide the 111 service in the West Midlands.

DHU Healthcare are the providers for the majority of West Midlands, you can contact them here - https://dhuhealthcare.com/contact-us

However, in Staffordshire the service is provided by Totally, you can contact them here - https://www.totallygroup.com/patient-information/complaints/
