I had recent elective surgery for paraovarian cystectomy, salpingectomy, oophrectomy & adhesiolysis. My surgeon was Dr Gondane-Sweetman, I was transferred to DSEU Ward after my surgery and stayed for two nights.
I cannot express how brilliant the experience was (under the circumstances!) Everything possible was done to ensure that my pain was minimal and I was looked after well.
Every member of staff who looked after me (from DSA, anaesthetics, theatre then DSEU ward) was kind, caring and extremely efficient. My surgeon, Dr Gondane-Sweetman, explained everything to me very clearly, both before my surgery, on the day of my surgery, and then even came back just after my surgery to explain how it had gone. Her excellent and knowledgeable reputation goes before her, and I am so glad that she carried out my surgery.
I am now at home recuperating for six weeks, and I feel sure that there will be no complications due to the outstanding service I received in hospital. Thank you everyone but particularly Dr Gondane-Sweetman, Agnes, Olenes, Lindsey, Tash, Chloe, Eugene, Ronnie, Margaret, Janice, Nicola, Lin, Sam. (Can’t remember names from Anaesthetics but probably a good thing!). So grateful for your help.
