"My daughters broken arm."

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Paediatrics Galloway Community Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I could not be more thankful to all staff from Stranraer hospital and Dumfries hospital for the amazing care my daughter received after she broke her arm.

It was amazing how they made her feel happy and comfortable during her stay and throughout theatre. I myself (mother) was also made to feel happy and confident about her care from start to finish.

I would also like to add that I think it is really good that they gave my daughter (5yo) the opportunity to choose which way she would like to be put to sleep when she was in theatre, it made her feel again like her opinion mattered.

The whole stay throughout I (mother) felt happy and confident that my daughter was in the best hands.

Once again, thank you from myself and my daughter.

Hi Minifitton, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I am really pleased that you felt that the care that you all received was good. I am also really pleased that the medical teams also made sure that your daughter was involved in any decisions in relation to her care.

I will make sure that your comments are passed on to the relevant staff.

I hope tat your daughter is coping with her broken arm and that it will not be long before she has made a full recovery.
