I had to call an ambulance for my elderly mother who was suffering from stomach pains and urine infection. Three young ladies arrived in the ambulance and they were extremely helpful, thoughtful and kind. Mum was seen in A&E, there was a long wait until she was admitted but she had blood tests, urine tests, x ray whilst in A & E. once on The EAU ward she was put on a drip and the staff were excellent. On transfer to Chestnut ward two medications went missing so she missed out in taking them for a short period but this was rectified. She has had CT scan, ultrasound and a further scan so the medical treatment has been very good. Unfortunately she is in a ward with patients with dementia who call out a lot. I wish that dementia patients could have a separate ward, this would help those without dementia to get a good nights sleep. Also the food is not great, but the main thing is that the medical treatment she has received I has been excellent. I could not fault it. She is still in there but feeling much better
