My son broke his arm while biking and arrived by ambulance at A&E. He was treated promptly in A&E and then admitted to ward 15, awaiting an operation the following day.
Firstly, the service from both the ambulance and A&E staff was great, the ambulance arrived in 15 mins and provided professional and friendly service, as did the A&E staff, with quick and caring progression for my son. We were seen by a consultant promptly and received initial treatment within 2 hours of arriving.
We were then admitted to ward 15, where we have received wonderfully supporting care throughout the 3 days my son was here. The staff, every one of them, have gone out of way to help and always been kind and professional.
The orthopedic dept have also been great, the consultants who did the operation took time to explain everything and answered all questions.
"Professional and friendly service"
