About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I had a fantastic experience giving birth at the BGH. Although my baby girl had a dramatic arrival on Easter Sunday by emergency C-section, both my partner and I felt so well supported and cared for from the start of my labour, through to the delivery and postnatal care and breastfeeding support. All the staff I met were incredibly caring, competent and had excellent communication from the midwives, to the support workers, to the doctor's  and the cleaners. We are very grateful for the wonderful introduction to the world our wee girl received.
