"Minor plastic surgery procedure"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

I was scheduled to visit the Plastic Surgery unit to have two cystic lesions removed from my scalp. I was apprehensive and quite nervous about the impending experience. However upon arrival I was immediately put at ease. The 4 staff in attendance (Joe, Linda, Liz  and Lani) explained what was going to happen, talked to me throughout the procedure which helped distract my attention, held my hand and frequently said that I was the most important person in the room. Their service and professionalism throughout the hour and a half could not have been improved. I was most impressed. What a credit to the hospital and the NHS.
