I gave birth to my son, 6 weeks early. I had to stay in the maternity ward in Wishaw General after having him for a week and the care provided was amazing. The midwifes and care assistants helping look after him and treating him like one of their own is something I will forever be grateful for. They showed genuine care and compassion towards him. In particular a few whose names I will always remember, Carol, Mary, Jennifer. These 3 particularly went above and beyond in ward 22 Wishaw general, however the other staff were also great in every possible way.
These NHS workers are patient, helpful and very hardworking and I dont believe they get the recognition they deserve. The nurses in Neonatal were amazing particularly John, he was very very friendly and helpful and dealt with our baby in the nicest possible way. Our babys doctor Dr Devlin was also amazing and we cant thank him enough. We will never forget the care we recieved and how well we were treated.
