Everything has been grand so far on the Male Medical Ward. All the day staff have been absolutely amazing. Cara in particular has been absolutely amazing and has gone out of her way for me. Anything I ask the staff is explained well to me and they always make sure to find out anything that I asked about. 

However, there was a healthcare assistant on the night before last who was quite rude to me. I felt like a hindrance to her even though I had not asked her for anything. I wanted to be reassured not treated in this way. However, it has to be said that the HCA who was on last night was great.

Even though I am in an extra bed in the DCC, it has been kept spotless and I have been very comfortable. The bathrooms have been good and the food has been grand.

The nurses are absolutely run off their feet but other than this there are no improvements I can think of.

I am pleased to hear that staff have communicated very well with you throughout your admission - We strive to include our patients with their care and ensure they know what is happening every step of the way.

I' am very sorry to hear about the healthcare assistant that was working night duty. We will address this with staff and if you want to speak in more detail of this please feel free to ask for the nurse in charge.
