"I needed to have my Mirena coil removed to start HRT"

I had terrible difficulty getting to speak to someone. It took about 6 weeks. It was hard to ring between 8.30 and 4pm as those are the hours I work. When I did try, the phone would ring & ring and not be answered.

Having said that, when I eventually got through, the member of staff was really helpful and booked my appointment immediately. I was rather nervous when I came in for the procedure but the staff were really lovely and very professional. Thank you.

My name is Andrew and I am an Administrator for the Open Clinic and part of my role is to respond to Care Opinion feedback. I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback which does mean a lot to our team and is an important contribution to learning and service improvement.

I am sorry you had difficulty in trying to access our service via the telephone system. Our phone lines are open Monday-Thursday 08:30am-4:30pm and Friday 08:30am-4:00pm. We have had a new system where we cover the whole Sexual Health Service for the region and can take an average of 350 calls each day.

I am pleased that when you got through an appointment was made immediately and you found the staff lovely and professional during your Mirena Coil removal appointment. 😊
