About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Haematology ward – ward 5

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My elderly mum became unwell last year and was diagnosed with a blood disorder. She has been receiving excellent care from the doctor and the other haematology staff.

Despite the complexity of her condition, the medical team acted promptly and conducted tests quickly. The doctors explained everything to her clearly and they always made time to answer our questions and discuss the treatment plan in detail.

Everyone on ward has been incredibly kind and caring, and the expertise is evident in their approach. We are grateful for the thorough care and attention that my mum has received from the team.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the care your mum has been receiving on our ward. It is never easy when a loved one is diagnosed with a blood disorder but by delivering excellent patient care we can only hope we make this journey a little easier. I am happy you all have felt involved and informed regarding your mum's care and that all your questions were answered. I will pass on your lovely comments to our team.
