(as a service user),

i have custody of my granddaughter who is disabled, i do struggle with her care sometimes, and could not have gotten her so far without the help and suport of two of her nurses Lorraine and Lynne. thay have been my rock in all aspects, even when it wasn't something that thay deal with, thay pointed me in the right direction or sometimes even delt with it for me. Last February my granddaughter was very ill and thay were switching off the machine she was on to breath, it was devastating Lorraine ask me if she could be their with her as she has known my granddaughter from birth. happy ending my granddaughter opened her eyes and fought her way back to good health, Yippee!! and will be 18 soon  i am so sad to be losing them as my granddaughter is transferring to adult services soon, thank you Lorraine and Lynne for everything xx

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a special story regarding your granddaughters journey. It is always nice to receive positive feedback.

You described the nurses as your "rock" and we will pass this onto Lorraine and Lynne, and our wider team.

We are sorry that you clearly went through what was a devastating time for your family, but your granddaughter clearly is a fighter and she recovered.

Transition is a very important milestone and glad you have felt supported, and your granddaughter surely will be remembered by the team.

I wish you and your family all the very best for the future, and Happy 18th Birthday to your granddaughter when it arrives.
