"They seemed completely disinterested"

About: East Of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust

(as the patient),

In absolute agony I desperately called 999 and was put through to someone who seemed completely disinterested, said they couldn't send an ambulance and tersely told me to call 111.

I had explained that I was in awful pain, described my symptoms and needed help. What if I had fainted or collapsed? I live on my own so there was no one to find me. This call lasted very few seconds. In desperation I called 111 and in just a couple of minutes the call handler had passed me to a nurse who then said she had sent for an ambulance. It arrived in 10 minutes. What does this say for the call handlers?
