"I thank them both for being very friendly and professional"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

I would like to thank paramedics Rab and AnneMarie from Kirkcaldy Station, who came to check over my 9-year-old daughter.

My daughter became unwell after school, I called NHS 24 for advice and they suggested paramedics should be called to check her over. They arrived within 15 mins and as soon as Rab and AnneMarie arrived they put my daughter at ease who had been upset and feeling unwell.

They were so kind to her and did a thorough check and took all her obs. They reassured her and said she will be ok to stay at home and explained to me what they thought was going on.

They made sure that myself and my daughter were happy with the decision at that time. I thank them both for being very friendly and professional. They even had my daughter giving a little giggle before they left. Thanks again.

Hi Lisa844

I'm sorry to learn your 9 year old daughter was unwell. I hope she is much improved.

It's good of you to thank the Paramedics who attended to your daughter. It sounds as though they did an amazing job of checking her over and of reassuring you. I see they even got a giggle out of her before they left, which is lovely. Well done to them for leaving such a positive impression on you both. I'm sure my colleagues at the Scottish Ambulance Service will be delighted with your feedback and rightly so.

I see you initially made a call to NHS 24. It appears our staff recognised your daughter needed to be seen and made the necessary arrangements. Should you wish to share any further information on your call to 111, it would be good to hear from you. You can call on 07814 299944 or email Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

It's great for our staff to hear what happens following a call to our service, so thanks again for sharing.

Take care and best wishes to you both.

Shona
