"Thorough and helpful staff"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit Craigavon Area Hospital / Theatres Radiography services / X-ray Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I recently had a bad fall, being unable to walk and in quite a lot of pain. My husband had to drive me to ED. When I arrived I was put in a wheelchair and signed in by a very friendly member of staff at the reception are. The wait wasn’t too long in ED as it was only about 45 minutes I was taken into minor injuries.

The nurse in the minor injuries unit was kind and caring, as well as thorough and helpful. I was then taken through to radiology for an X-Ray, where the radiologist was professional and pleasant. I was told that I would have to go into surgery as I had injured my leg pretty badly.

The staff in theatre were so compassionate and very accommodating as this was my first ever surgery and I was very nervous but they were able to support me and reassure me.

The surgery went very well and I hope to be out in the next couple of days
