Anything else?
I recently had my baby in the maternity part of arrow park. Everything did not go to plan due to my blood pressure and baby's heart rate. I ended up having her via a general anaesthetic c section. I have to say that every single one of the staff were excellent. The midwives that looked after me (through shift change) were brilliant...they were due to change over again as I was being taken down to theatre and I asked if they would stay with me. They did not just leave they stayed with me and also came the next day (on their day off) to see me. They kept me calm when it could have been a very bad situation for my husband and me. They were brilliant with my husband when I was taken for the c section. After recovering from the c-section the post op ward nurse was fantastic and when I just didnt feel like laughing she made me laugh. She brought a lovely atmosphere to the place and was very good at looking after Harriet(my baby) and me. When I was transferred over to the maternity unit to recover the midwives that were on shift were brilliant. I really struggled with breastfeeding and unfortunately had to stop after a couple of days but I did not feel pressurised into doing it and they were very supportive and sat with me for a long time to try and help me feed. They also helped whilst I tried to hand express whilst they fed Harriet. The care I received helped so much in those first few days when I was recovering. After I was allowed home my midwife came to see me everyday as I needed injections, her care and support was invaluable! I would just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff who looked after Harriet, myself and my husband. I could not express how much of a good job they do!
