"Lengthy waiting time for an apoointment"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Neurology

(as the patient),

I have been waiting 55 weeks for an outpatient appointment that should be a maximum wait time of 18 weeks - that's over a year. Over a year of me being in pain with no support.  I called up today to ask and they have said the only appointment before mine is a week earlier and that should be left for emergency cases so I can't have it.

I feel it is ridiculous leaving a young person to suffer in pain for over a year waiting for an urgent issue to be investigated.
