"I felt very at ease and that everything was fully under control"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care Western Health & Social Care Trust Western Health & Social Care Trust / Community Midwifery Services

(as a service user),

I had a planned elective c-section - due to a previous traumatic labour/ emergency c-section that I was very lucky to survive.

My experience this time couldn't have been any better. All members of staff were very attentive. From fetal assessment staff to all the theatre staff. I felt staff took time to explain and talk through my procedure and really took time to reassure me. I felt very at ease and that everything was fully under control. I was delighted everything went as planned, and was straight forward delivery this time.

Hi Ella2323,

Congratulations of the birth of your baby!

I'm sure you were feeling so anxious about having your baby this time round after having a traumatic experience previously. I couldn't be happier for you and your family that this time around it was more positive for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback. As a unit we like to pride ourselves on care and compassion for all who come through our doors and I hope that this experience has supported you in your recovery and enjoying your wee babies at home.

Kind regards,

Shonagh Clifford
