"Inability to contact the department"

About: County Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

Hearing aid fell apart again only a few weeks after last repaired. Have been trying to contact Audiology department for the last 4 weeks, leaving repeated messages as started to doubt I had left the correct details. Still nothing. I am profoundly deaf and rely on my hearing aids to be able to have meaningful contact with the outside world. I also suffer from Cauda Equina, which has left me partially paralysed and without the hearing aid, I have been unable to communicate easily with the neurologist about the decline in my condition.

Dear Tryn,

I am so very sorry for the difficulties you are having contacting the Audiology Department. If you would like to contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) via email at patientadvice.uhnm@nhs.net or via the telephone on 01782 676450 they would be very happy to support you with any help you need. With best wishes
