My dad was admitted to Accident and Emergency at University of Ayr Hospital, having taken unwell at home. He was treated in resus by a lovely ANP whose name I have sadly forgotten, and a nurse called Magdalena. These two ladies worked their hearts out to stabilise my dad and to get him the treatment that he needed.
Sadly my dad had a bowel perforation and had sepsis but these two ladies and Sadie, the senior charge nurse, looked after him, my mum, sister and me like we were their family. Nothing was a bother the care and the empathy they showed is a credit to the NHS and I just want to say thank you.
My dad was moved to line zone where he sadly passed away. But as a family we would like to say thank you to the staff of the Accident and Emergency department and especially to Sadie, Magdalena and the ANP. Thank you is not enough, but it’s all I have.
"We would like to say thank you"
