"The Urgent Care unit"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

My GP called the department to see if they could see me. I’ve had a virus and a bacterial infection in my lung and was struggling to breathe.

When I entered the unit I was so scared but  was put at ease and treated with respect and compassion, I had every step explained to me. It’s rarely the case in hospitals nowadays.  Got X-ray, CT scan, ECG and full blood check all in a few hours. Staff were superb, smiling away under pressure yet keeping everything very professional. Excellent teamwork and everyone was polite, not only to patients but also each other. One particular young woman called Kirsty kept everything flowing seamlessly while carrying on with her very important role.

It’s a scary time being in a hospital, especially when you’re older, but these young ladies made everyone feel special , they patiently listened to each individuals symptoms etc.

Well done to all the staff in that department, I don't believe they pay you enough for all the hard work you do.

I am so grateful and appreciate your kindness and everything you did for me.

Dear Heilan Lassie

Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive experience you recently had within our urgent care centre. I will share this with the teams, which will be a boost to them all.

I hope you are recovering well
