I had an appointment with Ellen at Hay Lodge Health Centre in Peebles, to get to the bottom of two sore toes. On examining the blood flow in my feet, she discovered that my pulse was slightly uneven, a little more pronounced in my right foot. Not being in any way alarmist, she advised me to have an ECG at my home Health Centre in West Linton, and they found I had some fibrillation in my heart. Immediately I was put on blood thinners.
Then I visited Adam at the Outpatients Podiatry at Borders General Hospital, who gave me another examination in a very thorough manner, giving me very positive feedback as to what I should do .
The experience from both Ellen and Adam was so helpful, and their expertise has discovered a condition I did not know that I had.
Thank you so much to them both.
