"I owe my life to all of u"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Care of the Elderly (Wards 9-12) University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was in a serious accident in August 2020 and went to a&e in Wishaw.  Then I was told I was to get an operation on my ankle at 3:00 in the morning.  When l came out l was fine and after the recovery room they took me to ward then I was told was going to the high dependency unit.

I spent a week in there and had my 2nd operation at the end of August then l was told someone needed my room and my bed was in the hall for a day then I went to ward 14.

One of friends seen me and said I wasn't going to make it, but l did thanks to all the kind staff in ward 14.  l appreciated what they had done for me, one nurse especially who got be back to eating again thanks.

I was then transferred to ward 12 and spent 3 more weeks there and finally got home at the end of September. I finally got my 3rd operation in February and l think it's been successful thanks to day surgery and the staff at ward 15.

l have had a tour of Wishaw general hospital but thanks to everyone l am nearly a radio presenter for the 2nd time round so hopefully you listen in once l get my show.

l owe my life to all of u at Wishaw yet again thanks 😊
