My son was taken to ED at GRI by ambulance after a severe reaction to Pea protein. We gave him his epipen at home and called the ambulance.
We were triaged promptly and asked to wait in the large waiting area as it was so busy.
We were happy to do so. Three hours later we were still waiting. Eventually we asked how long it would take to be seen. The receptionist was very helpful and called a nurse, who advised we would probably be another hour and a half. It was now after midnight, my son was very tired given his ordeal so we elected to go home. We advised the receptionist and they again called the nurse who arranged for a doctor to give my son a quick look over. The doctor duly did this and we were free to leave .
My comment is regarding the seating, which is made of steel? Hard solid chairs, very uncomfortable to sit on for hours, especially after the ordeal my son endured.
Any chance of some padded decent seats given the long waits??
Thank you all for your attention and care, but my derrière was broken after that long stint
