"Ankle injury"

About: New Victoria Hospital / X-rays and scans NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had an injury to his ankle resulting in pain and swelling. Call to 111, healthcare practitioner called me back within 20 minutes and xray booked for the next day. Assesed, x-ray and feedback completed in 2 hours and the whole process was smooth and straightforward.

Thank you coordinationfe89 for taking the time to leave feedback. The Flow Navigation Centre clinical team are responsible for the virtual consultations for injured patients following referral from 111, and for arranging the follow up appointment at the Victoria Hospital. The team will be really pleased to know that they responded to your call so quickly and that everything thereafter was a slick process for you and your son. May we wish your son a very quick recovery but do not hesitate to access the service again should you require further care.

Thank you again,

Edward Pool

Hi coordinationfe89

I'm sorry to learn of your son's ankle injury. I hope he is on the mend and the pain and swelling has reduced.

Thanks for much for providing feedback on his journey of care. Great to see services all working together to provide a positive and timely patient and family experience.

I see an initial call was made to 111 when we then referred your son for onward care. I'm so glad he had a seamless journey.

Best wishes to you both and thanks again for getting in touch.

Shona
