"My son, who is gentle and lovely, felt ambushed"

About: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust / Adult mental health

(as a parent/guardian),

The Asheton team visited suddenly due to Whitfield counselling Centre over reacting (but I get it, as an ex-experienced and highly trained nurse).

My son is non-aggressive, just very low. He is kind, he annoyingly puts his friends before his own happiness. He has ASD, ADHD, POTS, hypermobility of joints, sleep apnoea.

The sudden visit made my son feel ambushed. 2 doctors (no threat to anyone by son ever, or to myself). An awful nurse.

Their opening gambit was: well speak to him then, and you are not on top of this at all, are you? Bearing mind I have been my sons constant (alone) since they were 3 and 6 yrs.

I felt they were truly awful.
