"A good experience"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Day surgery

(as a service user),

I work in GG&C NHS, so I have high standards, and I wasn't disappointed.  Presented to the Same Day Surgical Unit at 7:30 am, which is a waiting area and reception for GRI Theatre.

Whilst the Unit was very busy, all communication was excellent, from reception staff, nursing staff, Anaesthetist and Consultant Surgeon.

There is a TV in the waiting area and patients are now encouraged to take small sips of water, which was welcome.

The wait was long but unavoidable as several surgical lists were running. Taken to ward 56 to recover. A good experience.

Discharged early. Thank you!

Dear pilingsdx85

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of attending the Day Surgery Unit of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

As a fellow member of staff of NHSGGC your feedback has been very helpful and insightful in the current climate we find ourselves in.

I was happy to hear the communication between yourself and staff was 'excellent' and you were made to feel welcomed within the Unit.

It was good to hear there was a TV in the waiting area which made your wait a little easier.

I have passed on your thanks to the staff within the Unit who have asked me to thank you for your kind words.

I hope your feeling a lot better now after your surgery and recovering well back at home.

Kind regards

Kevin
