"Care from surgical registrar"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Visited whilst on holiday with my son, I was worried about his belly button which was protruding and looked sore. Despite a long wait everyone was kind and patient. The surgical registrar (I forget her name, sorry) particularly stood out for her approach to my young son and her communication skills. Thank you.

Dear Umbilical problem!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of attending our Emergency Department. I'm sorry to hear your son was suffering from a painful belly button whilst you were on holiday. I hope he managed to recover and enjoy the rest of his time.

Thank you for acknowledging our staff were kind and patient, and that the Surgical Registrar's approach was helpful.

Feedback such as this is most welcome and gives our staff a morale boost, particularly when we are experiencing such challenges with our waiting times.

Thank you again and take care.
