"Poor service for test results"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

Had symptoms, sent off self swabs via the SH24 service. Swabs came back negative but still got symptoms. Difficult to get through on the phone. Finally got a telephone consultation. Described symptoms, and was given an appointment for a full screen at Stafford clinic. Arrived at clinic to be given self swabs to do again and told no doctor here so that's all we can do. No blood samples taken. I might as well just have ordered self swabs to my home. Over a week later and still had symptoms and still no results. Left a voicemail and was told that there is a problem with lab software meaning dealt up to 4 weeks.

Meanwhile, my partner had done self swabs and their result back in 4 days. Fed up with waiting I visited a clinic in Manchester, the doctor took swabs and took one look at my symptoms and prescribed antibiotics straight away. Still no results. Very disappointed with how this has been handled.
