"So many lovely staff, but one was off"

About: Hospital Of St Cross (Rugby)

(as the patient),

I have visited and been treated at St Cross this week, regarding a suspected blood clots post c-section ( 11 days).

Initially I was sent to urgent care centre. Unfortunately they couldn't treat me, the staff were very kind and helpful.

I then went to the DVT clinic the following day - staff absolutely amazing! Especially Geraldine so kind and caring! Made me at ease! The whole team are lovely, made me a scan appointment which was for today.

Found the scanning department, receptionist & scan assistant were lovely, unfortunately the main scanner I found uncaring & rude. I was in a severe amount of pain & felt like I was made to feel a nuisance. Gutted really as everyone else was exceptional.

My scan unfortunately came back as blood clots. I was then sent back to the DVT clinic who again were amazing. Helped me understand my medication and assured me I would be ok.

Nothing bad to say. Also the volunteers that work there are amazing too! Always on hand to help patients. One kind volunteer helped me walk to the other side off the hospital. She was lovely and reassured me.

Apart from the one off staff today it is an amazing hospital with brilliant staff and outstanding care. Thanks again to all that helped me.
