"Prostate cancer and epileptic seizures"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Neurology Lincoln County Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

Diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2017.managed by Dr Panadas. Very swift to get me tested and scanned. Had radiotherapy, 39 treatments in 2018. Rang the bell and thought everything was sorted.

Leap forward to March 2021 I had my first seizure (heath surgery weren't concerned) had a further seizure in the July (surgery still decided to do nothing) a week later had a ride in an ambulance (unbeknown to me) spent three days in hospital and started a long process to ascertain why at 61 I had started having the seizures.

While having scans and tests they noticed my PSA had started climbing.from .5 to 3 in a year eventually attaining 12.9. and showing signs it had spread from the prostate to two areas of the spine.right hip.right shoulder and right lung. After many more scans, I was eventually offered chemotherapy. Much to my relief. Treatment started at the end of February. Six sessions every three weeks.
