"Great care experience in the labour ward"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as the patient),

I wanted to take the time to write about the exceptional care that we experienced when having our first baby at Wishaw General Hospital (Scotland).

We had our baby boy at the end of December 2022 & spent 5 days in Wishaw with a short stay in Neonatal for our newborn.

Our midwife Lauren was unbelievable at her job, she was so compassionate, kind, knowledgeable & caring. Everything you would want from a midwife. We then dealt with two other midwives due to a shift swap, Zoe & Susan who were also amazing.

The days following we met many of the maternity/neonatal staff at Wishaw & every single person even down to the cleaners who kept our room so fresh & clean were amazing. The care & love we received was beyond anything we could imagine. The staff at Wishaw general are heroes.
