I had the misfortune of having to bring my little girl to A&E on the night of 13 Feb /early hours of 14 Feb as she was very wheezy and breathless. After a short wait, she was triaged by a calm and friendly nurse. He then informed the duty doctor - who promptly assessed her and prescribed the treatment and told us the plan.
Another nice female nurse came over and administered the medication. She made my daughter feel relaxed throughout.
After a period of observation, we were allowed to go home with the meds and relevant discharge information. All in all, we spent about 3 hours there.
I have heard horror stories about the current state of NHS hospitals (esp A&E) but nothing but praise and gratitude from me this time. I am not allowed to put any names down but you know who you are!
