"Over 2 month wait for results"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

After having an echocardiogram following atrial fibrillation I was told that I would have my results in 3 weeks time.  It has now been over 2 months and I have still not had my results.

When I contacted the department, because I was referred by ambulatory A&E I was told I need to speak to the consultant there, however I can never get through. I am calling on an almost daily basis but it goes straight to voicemail and I never get a call back. So I am stuck in limbo. I don’t know if my condition is getting worse.

I am currently experiencing atrial fibrillation and I think the stress of not knowing is making it worse, but when I speak to my GP they refer me back to the hospital, so am in a spiral of just not knowing which way to turn next.
